MAHABALESHWAR
A mere 2 and a half hours away from Pune is one of the most gorgeous hill stations in Maharashtra. This is Mahabaleshwar, which gets its name from an ancient Shiva temple of the same name.
WHERE WILL YOU STAY
You will stay at the historic, 140-year-old, Mahabaleshwar Club. The club exudes the charm of old colonial times. In 1881, some British officers got together and upon approval from the local collector, converted an existing army barracks into what we know today as the Mahabaleshwar club, one of the oldest social clubs in India. As soon as you enter the gates you feel you have stepped into a time machine and traveled back a century.

Even today, the members of this establishment zealously protect the rules of decorum set a hundred years ago, giving us a fleeting glimpse of an era gone by.
PLACES YOU WILL SEE
During your 4.5-day stay we will visit some of the most charming and historically significant places of the region.
We will visit the old city to Kshetra Mahabaleshwar - this is the old Mahabaleshwar from where the town get its name; and the Panchaganga temple nearby, built in the 13th century and believed to be about 4,500 years old, at the confluence of 5 rivers.
Just a walk away from the Club is the old Christ church, built in 1842. MAHABALESHWAR MARKET - The one street market in Mahabaleshwar still has a few old, quaint buildings that can be a delight to illustrate in your journals.

You can look forward to 6 days of total art immersion. Everywhere you go you will be shown how to illustrate your journals and take back memories of your trip in your hand made art.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Travel Art Journaling is something everyone can enjoy. You do not need to be a trained artist to make beautiful travel journals with you art. All you need is patience and enthusiasm.
We have had participants from age 26 to 70 during our retreats and from varying backgrounds - mothers, grand mothers, doctors, pilots, CAs and many others. Art is for everyone who desires it.

BONUS! For all participants for the retreat you can avail of 1-month worth of free sessions in our travel art classes online. That way you know exactly how to approach making travel journals without any fear!

DAY 1 - Feb 23rd - Arrive at the Club
DAY 2 - Feb 24th - GRASSE & GOURDON
DAY 3 - Feb 25th - a visit to Christ Church
DAY 4 - Feb 26th - Visit to a local VINEYARD
DAY 5 - Feb 27th - Check out

1. Cost of retreat: Starting ₹ 57,000 per person.
2. Shared and single occupancy rooms available.
3. Cost includes stay, all meals & local transport.
4. Does not include cost to travel to Mahabaleshwar.
5. We will take registrations based on payment of first instalment on first-come-first-served policy.
6. Booking made are non-transferrable to any other name, as per the policy of the Club.
