VIENNA

Vienna is home to some of the most influential artists of the Modern Art movement. As a city, Vienna is one of the most well preserved and well planned historic cities. Not every city can boast of an architectural aesthetic that flows seamlessly between palaces and public buildings.

WHERE WILL YOU STAY

You will stay at a conveniently located hotel, right on the border of the prestigious district 1 - where most of the historic buildings of the Hapsburg empire are located. It is located conveniently close to most of the monuments, gardens and galleries you will visit during the retreat.

PLACES YOU WILL SEE

We have a well packed schedule during your 4 full days in Vienna. Since most of the old city districts are so beautiful you can literally just plonk yourself anywhere and start sketching. It was a tough task to shortlist only a few landmarks for our travel art retreat but I have tried to choose some of the more significant locations for their artistic beauty.

We will visit the famous Stephansplatz and Stephanskirche on our forst day out. Followed by a visit to the Belvedere palace to see the art collection. The next day we will visit the oldest flea market in Europe - the Naschmarkt, along the banks of the river, packing in more art at the Albertina museum thereafter. On the last day we will visit Salzburg - another charming old city made most famous by The Sound of Music.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Travel Art Journaling is something everyone can enjoy. You do not need to be a trained artist to make beautiful travel journals with you art. All you need is
patience and enthusiasm.

We have had participants from age 26 to 70 during our retreats and from varying backgrounds - mothers, grand mothers, doctors, pilots, CAs and many others.
Art is for everyone who desires it.

ITINERARY & COSTS

DAY 1 - Land at Vienna airport and arrive at the Hotel.

DAY 2 - St. Stephan’s Cathedral - Belvedere Palace

DAY 3 - Naschmarkt for the Flea Market

- Kunsthistorische Museum - Maria-Theresien Platz

DAY 4 - Karlzplatz Sketching outdoors - Albertina Museum - Mozart/ Vivaldi Concert

DAY 5 - SALZBURG: Mirabelle Palace - Mozart’s Birthplace - Old Town - Getreidegasse - Nonnberg Abbey - Salzburg Cathedral - Residenzplatz - RETURN to Vienna.

Day 6 - TUESDAY June 9th - A quiet time at the hotel to reflect and complete our travel journals. Check out at 12:00PM

1. Cost of retreat: Starting € 1,505 per person.

2. Shared and single occupancy rooms available.

3. Cost includes stay, local transport, some museum fees as per itinerary.

4. Breakfast included in hotel stay.

5. Does not include airfare or visa cost.

6. This retreat is for 10 persons only. We will take registrations based on payment of first instalment on first-come-first-served policy.
